Day 1

Arrival Tirana – Kruje

On your first day of arrival in Tirana, you will take a short transfer (20 km) to your hotel in Kruje. Once you have settled in, you can explore the charming old bazaar, visit the historic castle, and immerse yourself in the culture at the Ethnographic museum. In the evening, enjoy a delicious dinner of traditional Albanian cuisine to complete your day.

Day 2

Kruje – Shkoder

After savoring a delicious breakfast, you will embark on a journey to Shkodra, fondly referred to as the city of art in Albania. Here, you will have the chance to explore the enchanting Rozafa Castle, steeped in history and surrounded by captivating legends. Marvel at the stunning vistas of the Buna and Drini rivers from the castle’s vantage point. Treat yourself to a relaxing coffee break along the picturesque promenade before immersing yourself in the cultural wonders of the Marubi Photography Museum and the mask factory. Following a delightful lunch, you will head to the vibrant capital city, where you can delve into the intriguing remnants of the communist era at Bunk Art, admire the Italian architecture near Blloku, and explore the bustling new Pazar.

Day 3

Shkoder – Durres – Berat

Start your day in Durres and explore Berat, known as the city of 1,000 windows, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The day will start by visiting the Archaeological Museum continue with the beach promenade, the castle of Berat, Gorica Bridge and end with Nurellari Winery tasting.

Day 4

Berat  – Vlore

Departing from Berat after a delightful breakfast, your day will be filled with enriching experiences. Visit the historic Ardenica Monastery, explore the ancient archaeological site of Apollonia, and revel in the natural beauty of Zvernec Island. Opt. for a bird-watching excursion at the lagoon for an additional fee. Conclude your day in Vlore, where you can immerse yourself in the city’s charm, from the Muradie neighborhood to the picturesque promenade, culminating in a breathtaking sunset.

Day 5

Vlore – Porto Palermo – Saranda

Check out of the hotel and leave Vlora behind. As you traverse the winding roads to Llogara, get ready for a heart-pounding drive through the majestic Llogara Pass, offering jaw-dropping panoramas that will take your breath away.
Next, brace yourself for an epic visit to Porto Palermo, where a centuries-old castle stands as a testament to Albania’s rich history and rugged beauty. Dive deep into the ancient allure of Qeparo Old Town, where every cobblestone street whispers tales of a bygone era waiting to be discovered.

Finish off your day in the electrifying city of Sarande, where the party never stops and the beaches beckon you to dance the night away.

Day 6

Butrint – Ksamil – Gjiroksater

Today you will pass throught Ksamil to reach Butrint – UNESCO World Heritage Site. A large number of ancient buildings were discovered here during excavations. Parts of this are still surprisingly well preserved.

Continue the journey to another UNESCO heritage city, Gjirokastra. So called “The city of stone”, hometown of the dictator Enver Hoxha and famous writer Ismail Kadare. Visit the castle and get lost in the Old bazaar to admire the unique architecture.

Day 7

Permet – Voskopoje – Korce

Next the journey continues to the picturesque town of Permet, nestled in the heart of the Vjosa River Valley. Discover the stunning natural beauty of the area, including the thermal springs and lush greenery that make Permet a hidden
gem in Albania.
Continue your exploration to Erseke, a charming mountain town surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Take a leisurely stroll through the town center, visit the local markets, and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of this hidden oasis.
Venture onwards to Voskopoje, a historic village renowned for its Byzantine old churches and stunning mountain views. Explore the ancient architecture, sample local delicacies, and soak in the serene atmosphere of this cultural treasure.
Conclude your day in Korce, a vibrant city known for its lively arts scene and bustling markets. Wander through the colorful streets, visit the National Museum of Medieval Art, and indulge in delicious Albanian cuisine at a local restaurant.

Day8

Pogradec – Elbasan – Tirane

A short transfer takes us to Pogradec, a charming town nestled on the shores of Lake Ohrid. Take a leisurely stroll along the waterfront promenade, visit the iconic Drilon National Park, and admire the breathtaking views of the lake
and surrounding mountains. Continue your adventure to Tushemisht, a picturesque village renowned for its tranquil setting and traditional architecture. Explore the quaint streets, relax by the crystal-clear waters of Lake Prespa, and savor a delicious meal at a local restaurant. Journey onwards to Lin, a hidden gem on the shores of Lake Ohrid.
Head to Elbasan, To visit the castle and a community; My Craft Tradition is a Social Enterprise developed by Joscelyn Foundation which isan NGO that work for community empower. Through this initiative the aim is to preserve our Albanian tradition with artisanal products and support people who are most in need of a stable job. You will be part of the community and learn their story.

Conclude your day in Tirane.
